FAQs about Cosmetic Dentistry

What are veneers?

A dental veneer is a thin shell porcelain or tooth composite overlay that can be place on top of an existing tooth to change its visible appearance. Veneers can help remedy small cosmetic imperfections – such as tooth discoloration and tooth gaps – that might affect your smile. Veneers can also be used as a more extensive full smile make-over, such as by making teeth appear wider, taller, less rotated, or more symmetrical.

What is a cosmetic crown?

Dental crowns – often used to repair decayed or broken teeth – can also be used to cover a tooth with cosmetic imperfections. Cosmetic crowns can be used along with, or instead of, veneers to help you achieve your desired smile.
